Freedom, Fairness, Trust

Guy Voizey, chairman of South Thanet Liberal Democrats, has invited local residents to help us make our area a better place to live.
In welcoming the recently released Liberal Democrat pre-Manifesto "Freedom, Fairness, Trust", Guy highlighted the ten key reasons for voting Liberal Democrat:
- We will put patients first. We let doctors and nurses do their jobs
- We will provide free personal care when you need it. No one should be forced to sell their home to pay for care
- No tuition fees, no top-up fees. University should be affordable for every student
- We want more investment in children's early years. The £1billion Child Trust Fund money should be spent when it matters most.
- We will put 10,000 more police on the streets. This will cut crime and the fear of crime.
- We will provide free off-peak local transport for all pensioners and disabled people.
- We will AXE the Council Tax. A local income tax is both fair and affordable.
- We should not have gone to war in Iraq. It's time to restore trust in the Government.
- We must take the environment seriously. Cut pollution, cut congestion and boost renewable
energy
