Liberal Democrats met in Liverpool recently for their spring conference. It was Nick Clegg's first as Leader of the Party and in his speech, he called for big changes to be made in the way the country is run.
Commenting on Nick's speech, local Lib Dems said, "Nick was spot on with his comments about the need for a 'new type of politics'.
"Out of touch, one-party government is not serving our country well. Nick's demands for sweeping reforms are just what are needed to mend politics and restore the people's confidence in what the government of our country does in our name."
At the conference, Liberal Democrats backed policies to give patients and communities much greater control over the NHS. They also agreed plans to ensure enough affordable homes are available for those who need them.
